Harris Health System is looking for a Senior Mammography Technologist to join one of our clinics

About the Position

As a Senior Mammographer at Harris Health, you will apply radiographic procedures to mammography for patients. You will operate a mammography unit to produce images for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a physician. You will need to explain the procedure to patients, position and immobilize the patient's breast in the unit, and observe the scanning process. Throughout the procedure, you will utilize radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and staff. The Senior Mammography Technologist will also mentor and take charge of other technicians in the absence of a supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced Mammography or State Certification
  • 3 - 5 years of mammography experience
