About the Position

The Registered Clinical Dietitian Technician (DTR) at Harris Health will provide clinical nutrition services to patients within your scope of practice and demonstrated competence under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). You will be working in accordance with the policies and procedures in place for Harris Health System's Correctional Health division. As the DTR, you will utilize the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT) to assist with assessment of nutrition status and in the development and implementation of nutrition care plans for patients at nutrition risk. The Registered Dietitian Tech also provides nutrition education and direct patient care within your scope practice.

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited university or college
    • Master's Degree in Nutrition-related field may count as 1 year of experience
    • PhD in Nutrition-related field may count as 2 years of experience
  • Completion of a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Program accredited by ACEND
  • Compliance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • 1 year of experience with Dietetics or Nutrition preferred
