Harris Health is looking for an experienced Histology Tech to join our team at Ben Taub Hospital

About the Position

The Histology Technician at Harris Health will procure, prepare, and stain tissue sections in addition to assisting the pathologist in making microscopic diagnoses. You will need a strong working knowledge of sampling, accessioning and grossing, tissue processing and staining, and quality control. The ideal candidate will also have experience with instrument validation and calibration in addition to testing management.

Requirements

• Graduate of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnology Program or ASCP Certification as a Histotechnologist or Histotechnician
• Experience in immunohistochemical staining techniques, preferred
