About the Position

At NightLight Pediatric Urgent Care, a Pediatrician works in Primary Care and Urgent Care alongside a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants to deliver the highest quality screening, diagnosis, and treatment to patients ranging from newborns to 21 years old. In addition to general medicine, a Pediatrician needs thorough knowledge of growth and development in children. Because many of our patients have limited communication skills, you will need to provide a diagnosis based on visual and auditory indicators. Strong, sympathetic communication skills are vital for you to communicate well with children and their parents. As a Pediatrician with NightLight, you will treat a variety of minor, non-emergent health issues, such as: 

• Allergic reactions
• Asthma attacks and breathing treatments
• Pain relief
• Rashes and hives
• Wound care and stitches
• Fever management and education
• Wart removal
• Broken bones, sprains, and burns
• Cold, flu, and fevers
• Vomiting and stomach pain
• Mild to moderate dehydration

Shift Schedule

• Full Time: 4 Shifts per Week
• Part Time: 2-3 Shifts per Week
• PRN: Minimum of 3 Shifts per Month (2 weekend days)

We are looking for an MD interested in PRN!

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Medical School
• Successful completion of an accredited Residency program
• Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatrics, Med-Peds
• Current PALS or BLS certification
• Texas Medical Board licensure
