S:US is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for our Transitional Shelter

About the Position

The Maintenance Supervisor at SUS will supervise the assignments of the porters and provide indirect supervision for maintenance workers. You will prepare work order schedules and submit them on a regular basis to facility management in addition to weekly reports of work performed at the facility. As the Supervisor of Maintenance for the shelter, you will distribute rent invoices and other property management correspondence to residents. You will also maintain records of all service and maintenance, control supplies and uniforms, and generate requisitions for replenishing needed supplies. You will also active perform needed repairs in the facility, including light fixtures, electrical outlets, and plumbing as well as cabinet or furniture assembly and installation. 

About the Homeless Services

S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services. 

Salary: $37,500 / year

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 virus
  • 3 years of building maintenance experience in a large residential / institutional setting working with special needs population
  • Driver's License preferred
