S:US is looking for an Administrative Assistant to work at one of our Homeless Shelters

About the Position

The Administrative Assistant at S:US serves as the first point of contact for our program. You will be assigned general clerical duties, such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, and arranging for deliveries. The Admin Assistant also handles all internal and external communications for the shelter using phone, email, and written methods of communication. You will also arrange, schedule, and coordinate the office calendar as well as prepare and edit any communications or presentations that are given to you. It is important that when engaging with and assisting program participants that you do so promptly, accurately, and with courtesy and respect. 

About the Homeless Services

S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services. 

Salary: $19.23 / hour

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 virus
  • 1 year of admin experience
  • Knowledge or experience in social service or related field preferred
