S:US is looking for an experienced Senior Addiction Counselor to join one of our mobile, multi-disciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams
About the Position
The Senior Substance Use Specialist at S:US works as part of a mobile multi-disciplinary team to provide substance use services and consultation to the community. You will be responsible for integrating dual-recovery treatment in conjunction with the treatments of other team members. For members of the community, you will conduct assessments for substance abuse services and create treatment plans. You will need to carefully document and chart details regarding the participant and their plan in order to quickly adapt to changing needs and aid the rest of your team. Because of the nature of the ACT Team, field work and travel is required as you meet members of the community where they are.
S:US' Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams are a mobile interdisciplinary team of professionals, experienced in psychiatry, nursing, social work, and rehabilitation, as well as peers. Our ACT Teams serve those whose needs have not been met by traditional clinic-based approaches. We are an innovative, recovery-oriented, best-practice intervention that delivers treatment to people in their homes, shelters, parks, and anywhere else they happen to be living in order to engage them in a sustained relationship that leads to recovery.
