S:US is looking for an experienced Social Worker to serve as the Director of Social Work at our Families with Children Shelter in Brooklyn
About the Position
The Director of Social Work will manage clinical operations of our Families with Children shelter based on city, state, and federal regulatory requirements and DHS contractual requirements. You will provide supervision, guidance, and performance evaluations to other staff at the shelter and assist in the development of job skills training curriculums suitable to the population served at your shelter. As Director of Social Work, you will also complete written reports regarding clinical progress and highlights, consumer census, and housing and employment placement. Because you will be operating as Director, you will need to be flexible as the work schedule requires some weekend and evening hours in addition to being on-call 24 hours a day and ensure contingency plans are in place if you are unavailable.
About the Homeless Services
S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services.
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 / year
