S:US is looking for an experienced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our ACT Team based in Brooklyn
About the Position
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at S:US will join our ACT Team in Brooklyn, NY to provide direct psychiatric services for individuals with a mental illness that seriously impairs their functioning in the community. As the PNP, you will document medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes. The Psychiatric NP also provides medication management services, such as prescription refills, medication education, and writing prescriptions for psychotropic medications as allowed.

S:US' Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams are a mobile interdisciplinary team of professionals, experienced in psychiatry, nursing, social work, and rehabilitation, as well as peers. ACT delivers comprehensive mental health treatment to individuals with mental illness that seriously impairs their functioning in the community. Our ACT Teams serve those whose needs have not been met by traditional clinic-based approaches. We are an innovative, recovery-oriented, best-practice intervention that delivers treatment to people in their homes, shelters, parks, and anywhere else they happen to be living in order to engage them in a sustained relationship that leads to recovery.
Salary: $170,000 / year
