S:US is looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor for one of our Developmental Disabilities programs
About the Position
The Shift Supervisor at S:US will provide supervision and training to Direct Support Professionals for our program in Brooklyn. You will conduct ongoing individual meetings with staff regarding job performance, oversee building inspections, coordinate work schedules and assignments, and evaluate paperwork and documentation. At times, you may also need to perform the duties of a Direct Support Professional if there is a need. The Shift Supervisor also coordinates staff and client interactions as well as communicates client observations and incidents to the appropriate staff at S:US.
About the Developmental Disabilities Services
S:US is working to break down barriers and open new doors to our clients in order to help those with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live in, work in, contribute to, and participate in the community. Our Developmental Disabilities Services are 9 areas of service that provide support to each individual with four main objectives. These are objectives are for the individual to (1) live and receive services in the community of their choice, (2) build and enjoy social connections through productive community participation, (3) deepen relationships with friends, family, and others, and (4) direct their own lives and experience life to their fullest potential. Our programs and services are offered in a manner that is respectful and highly supportive, acknowledge the informed choice of each individual, and are grounded in evidence-based practice.
