S:US is looking for an experienced Facility Manager for our Families with Children Shelter in Manhattan

About the Position

The Facility Manager at S:US will provide supervisory oversight and training to both residential aides and contracted maintenance staff. This will involve conducting ongoing individual supervisory meetings, building inspections, job performance feedback, work schedule coordination, timesheets and time off requests, and documentation. The Facilities Manager will also coordinate security and maintenance staff training, development, and evaluation. At times, it may be necessary for you to fulfill the duties of a Residential Aide or Custodial Personnel.

About the Homeless Services

S:US is working hard to help prevent homelessness by operating homeless individuals and families, for people living with HIV/AIDS, for individuals with mental health challenges, and for families experiencing domestic violence. We also connect homeless people to medical centers to ensure primary medical care and adherence to treatment. Our Homeless Services include homeless prevention, shelters, outreach services, and transition services. 

Salary: $52,500 / year

Location: 12 E 31st St, New York, NY 10016

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred
  • Able to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 virus
  • 2 years of Security or Building Maintenance experience
  • ​​​​​​​Experience in office management and / or staff supervision
  • Experience working in a large residential or institutional setting with a special needs population
  • F-80; First Aid & CPR certifications
  • Driver's License preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
